Football Specifications & Spec Sheet Reference

Buying footballs at wholesale means reading spec sheets. This is the cheat-sheet we wish every buyer had before sending a sample request.

Ball sizes

• Size 5 — 68–70 cm circumference, 410–450 g. Adults and U13+.
• Size 4 — 63.5–66 cm, 350–390 g. U9 to U12.
• Size 3 — 58–60 cm, 300–320 g. Training and U8.

Certifications

The pyramid: FIFA Quality Pro (elite match) → FIFA Quality (serious match) → IMS (training, club use) → no certification (promo). Each cert has a documented test battery (rebound, shape retention, water absorption).

Panel construction

• 32-panel — classical look, predictable flight.
• 18-panel — modern elite, optimized aerodynamics.
• 6-panel — street/training balls.

Bladder

Butyl bladderholds pressure for weeks; correct for clubs that don't pump every match. Latex bladder gives better touch and rebound; correct for elite play but needs frequent re-inflation.

Stitching

• Hand-stitched — premium, repairable, slightly weather-sensitive.
• Thermo-bonded — water-resistant, no moisture absorption gain.
• Machine-stitched — cost-effective, training-grade.
